Richard Parsons

Richard Parsons is the founder of Clarendon Law. After studying law at Leicester University, he worked in law and qualified as a solicitor in 2008. Richard started his legal career working in a firm specialising in property law and conveyancing.

Over the years Richard has developed substantial experience in general litigation, including financial mis-selling and insolvency. Dispute resolution is Richard’s particular speciality and he has worked extensively in the County Court, Family Court and High Court. He frequently acts for owners of small to medium business and has substantial experience of dispute resolution in commercial situations.

Richard has a varied and international client base. Many clients are from China. As well as meeting Chinese clients living, working or studying in the UK, Richard visits China regularly and arrange personal meetings with clients and prospective clients.

Richard is interested in computing and programming and manages most aspects of the firm’s legal and management systems. Having lived in Europe as a young adult, he speaks passable French and has a basic ability in Mandarin.

Richard is keen to support aspiring lawyers and enjoys training. He acts as the firm’s training supervisor, assisting and supporting the firm’s trainees to develop their skills and interests.

Sally Anne Smith

Sally specialises in family law and has experience in matters relating to divorce, financial settlements, and child arrangements. Sally has dealt with matters including:

  • International child abduction
  • High net worth and complex financial settlements
  • Jurisdiction and forum issues

Following admission as a solicitor in 2021, Sally has since gained Higher Rights of Audience in both civil and family courts. This qualification allows Sally to appear in the higher courts, such as the High Court and the Court of Appeal. Sally undertakes her own advocacy where possible and strives to provide holistic and balanced advice in an accessible way.

In her spare time, Sally is a keen equestrian and regularly competes in show jumping.

Suzanne Millichap

Suzanne Millichap has been practicing as a solicitor for over 20 years, embodying a commitment to treating clients with unwavering dignity and respect. From the outset of their cases, Suzanne delivers meticulous and impartial advice, laying the groundwork for swift and harmonious resolutions.

Jessica Freeman

Mrs Freeman has been a qualified Solicitor since February 2020, but has been working in the Legal Sector for over seven years. Her experience is varied, as she has practiced in Conveyancing, Family, Civil, Landlord and Tenant disputes and Commercial Property. She therefore has a vast range of experience in different practice areas, that lend to her knowledge in Dispute Resolution.

In her free time, Miss Freeman is a School Governor at her Daughter’s Nursery School and likes to get creative by up-cycling dress-makers mannequins with hand painted designs.

Callum Hutton

Callum studied Law at the University of Manchester, which is ranked in the top 20 law schools in the UK. He is now undertaking the LPC at the University of Law to complete his legal training.

Shortly after graduating, Callum joined the firm as a Legal Assistant. He has handled a wide range of cases, and now has extensive experience in dispute resolution and family law procedures. He has been commended for his strong grasp of key legal skills and his sensitive dealings with clients who are in stressful and distressing situations. Callum is now a Trainee Solicitor within the firm, and has established a good working relationship with the firm’s solicitors, local chambers, and counsel.

Callum intends to qualify as a solicitor and to practice as a litigator in the future. Outside of work, he enjoys watching a variety of sports and playing the piano.

Abbey Dockerill

Abbey joined Clarendon Law in 2022 and graduated with a First Class Honours LLB during the summer of 2023.

Abbey is studying her LLM LPC and has aspirations of securing qualification as a solicitor in the near future.

Within her role as trainee solicitor, Abbey supports the team with a particular emphasis on civil litigation and dispute resolution matters.

In her spare time, Abbey enjoys ice-skating and is dedicated to learning the Turkish language.

David Tam

David completed his formal education in Hong Kong before pursuing a Master of Laws in Civil and Commercial Law at Renmin University of China. He graduated with distinctions from the University of Law in the UK 2023, where he excelled in both the Legal Practice Course and an MSc in Law, Business, and Management.

In the early stages of his career, David gained a variety of work and internship experiences in both Hong Kong and mainland China. His rich background includes roles at barrister’s chambers, an international firm, a red-circle firm, a Hong Kong-China joint venture firm, and the Supreme People’s Court in China. In 2021, David qualified as a PRC lawyer, specializing in cross-border dispute resolution and corporate matters.

David can speak Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

Robert Ash

Robert joined Clarendon Law in 2023 after a varied career which has so far included working for the Home Office, a major financial services provider (now Aviva), academic research and teaching.

Robert has a substantial academic background. Among his qualifications he has a doctorate in Sociology from Leicester University. He has taught and lectured at UK and overseas universities including Leicester, Derby, Newcastle and Johannesburg. He has recently achieved a second doctorate in the History of Ideas at Lancaster University where Robert researched the concept of sincerity.

Since 2018 Robert has worked with barristers carrying out legal research, early drafting of documents, interviewing clients and preparing witness statements. Robert has studied law at the Lancashire Law School and Birkbeck, University of London. He is undertaking legal practice training through the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) with the intention of qualifying as a CILEX Lawyer specialising in Civil Litigation.

When he does not have his head in a book, Robert likes drinking red wine and talking.

Karolina Sinkiewicz

Karolina joined us in March 2024, as natural organizer with meticulous nature she try to keep everything in order and make things run smoothly behind office scenes.

Administrative Support Assistant role allows Karolina to combine her passion for organization and contribute to company’s efficiency. With ability to perform multiple tasks and tackle challenges with determination and support office with administrative tasks.

During her spare time, she like doing outdoor activities and travel. She speak fluent Polish and English.

Mrs Hu is responsible for all administrative and clerical duties, supporting the legal services we offer. She is Mandarin-speaking and therefore able to assist with translation and communication for Chinese clients.
